About us

Since the Kentucky Motorcycle Program began in 1994, over 63,000 participants have been trained at sites across KY. The Program was developed with funds provided by the Motorcycle Safety Education Program Fund, as defined in KRS 15A.358, through the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet grant awarded to the Kentucky Motorcycle Rider Education Program, administered by Eastern Kentucky University Sponsored Programs.

The Kentucky Motorcycle Program (KMP) utilizes Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) rider education curriculums. KMP offers the Basic RiderCourse, the 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse, the Basic RiderCourse2, and the Advanced RiderCourse in training centers across the Commonwealth.
